BPHL Sports is a corporation formed by Terry Bellah, Danny Pralgo, Mike Haverland, and Mike Laney, all former college baseball players.  The four member-owners grew up playing together in the highly recognized East Cobb Baseball Program.  Here is a short biographical background of each member below:

My name is Mike Haverland, and I played baseball at Walton High School in Marietta, GA.  I then went on to play at Furman University in Greenville, SC.  While at Furman University, I was a three year starter and played on the 1991 Southern Conference Championship team which advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament.  I am a Sales Management Professional, and have held several Senior Level Sales and Operations Management positions in the Insurance Industry.

My name is Mike Laney, and I played most of my youth career in the competitive, nationally recognized East Cobb Baseball program.  I played on an East Cobb team that appeared in the Colt League World Series in 1986 and on a Babe Ruth World Series Championship team in 1988.  I played many positions in my youth career, but when High School came along, I began to focus on pitching.  I had 4 successful years pitching for Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia. I then went on to earn a scholarship and play 4 more years at Elon University in Elon, North Carolina.  As a pitcher at Elon, I made a trip to the NAIA World Series in 1989, and earned All South Atlantic Conference, and All District 26 honors in 1992.  After spending several months working baseball camps for Elon and Georgia Tech, I began a sales career outside of baseball.  I had stayed away from baseball for nearly 12 years until Terry Bellah came to me with a picture of  The Ultimate Pitcher’s and Catcher’s PlateTM.  I immediately saw the opportunity this training aid would provide for young pitchers and catchers and decided to join Terry in the production and marketing of the product.  I truly believe in this training aid, and my goal is that the young pitchers of today will learn the importance of pitch location and take back home plate from those aluminum bat-swinging hitters of the future.

My name is Danny Pralgo, and I played all of my teenage years at the nationally touted East Cobb Baseball Program.  I married my best friend Deb and have two wonderful sons Jake & Max.  I was a four year varsity shortstop at Lassiter H.S. & lead the county in hitting in 1987.  I was the 1985 Babe Ruth S.E. Regional MVP, played in the 1986 Colt World Series, and was the shortstop for the 1988 Babe Ruth Senior World Series Champion East Cobb Astros.  I went on to earn a four year baseball scholarship to Columbus State University and appeared in the NCAA Division II College World Series.  I then went on to coach at North Florida Junior College.  I worked my way back home and was in the air-freight business for 8 years handling National Acct. Sales & overseeing Operations & Customer Service.  Four years ago I jumped onto a great opportunity and continue to work sales for the Westbury Carpet One family.  During the past 10 years I have always been a part of the greatest game in the world, "BASEBALL".  I am entering my eleventh season as a head coach in the East Cobb Baseball Program.  I was honored with the 2000 Coach of the Year award at East Cobb which belongs to our whole coaching staff.  We are currently coming off of a dream season, in which we won the 2004 Pony League World Series Title and was named USA Sports Rankings #1 team in the country.  This was the first time since 1985 that a south zone team has reached this goal. One of the main reasons for our success was the stubborn  philosophy of my pitching coach Terry Bellah (the master mind of "The Ultimate Pitcher's and Catcher's PlateTM").  I will continue to work with young athletes on the fundamentals & team play in baseball.  I am extremely excited being a part of this great training aid for pitchers & catchers.  Remember, "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION = DOMINATION".

My name is Terry Bellah, and like the other members of BPHL, played most of my youth career in the East Cobb Baseball Program and have coached there for 11 years.  I was a member of both East Cobb World Series teams mentioned earlier.  I also played at Walton High School.  I earned a scholarship and pitched for Kennesaw State University, which was voted Division II Baseball Program of the Decade for the 1990’s by Baseball America.  I also pitched in the Great Lakes Wooden Bat Collegiate League in which I was named to the honorable mention All League Team.  I was an Instructor at Kennesaw State and Georgia Tech Baseball Camps.  I have been assisting Danny Pralgo as the pitching coach for the 14 year old East Cobb Astros for 11 years.  I am also a pitching instructor.  The idea for this great product came while I was giving pitching lessons to a high school player.  The pitcher did well with the lessons, but when I went to see him pitch in his high school game, he was getting pounded.  The pitcher’s mechanics were fine, but the catcher was setting up right down the middle.  Great mechanics for a pitcher are no good with out proper location of pitches.  I then had his high school catcher come to a few lessons to teach him how and where to set up to give a proper target to the pitcher.  Once they were on the same page, this pitcher was very successful.  By the way, this pitcher went on to pitch for the University of Georgia World Series Team.  That is the beauty of this training aid, not only does it visually give a good target for the pitcher, it also helps the all important catcher position himself to set up in the proper location.
